Additional Voices for Leopard OS

This is the Additional Voices package that comes on the Leopard retail disc, but is omitted on almost all other Leopard distributions due to its size (such as kalyway etc).

It contains Alex. A voice that Steve Jobs got quite exited about while demonstrating it during a WWDC keynote presentation. It is a huge step up over the other voices offered - and no leopard installation can be considered complete without it.

Alex includes fine breath and pause control to enhance understandability, and is optimised to sound natural even when reading at a fast pace. There are a lot of examples and clips of Alex on the net so feel free to search. It compares favorably with high-end synthesis voices like AT&T's Natural Voice and Cepstral.
